Coaching Leader/Head of Year with TLR

Salary: Inner London (competitive salary based on experience and skills)

Contract: Permanent, full time, subject to an Enhanced DBS check

This is an exciting time to be joining one of the most pioneering schools in the country. Our new Coaching Leader positions will work as part of the Wider Leadership Team (WLT) to lead the holistic education of students within the school. They will lead a team of Coaches with strong values and a commitment to a through-school education. The Coaching Leaders will play a key part in ensuring a school culture in which every member of the community can thrive and grow.


We are looking for leaders who are qualified teachers who have exemplary classroom practice, and who understand and are enriched by the school’s context and want to work closely with families and the community. The successful candidates will be strong team players who demonstrate unconditional positive regard and believe in the power of strong feedback and a ‘radically candid’ approach and who actively seek feedback to improve their own practice and leadership. The successful candidate will have a record of strong classroom and pastoral practice.


Our successful Coaching programme is the curriculum of the ‘Heart’ that focuses on personal, social and emotional development of our students in order to empower our young people to take on the world.  We deliver a robust programme of PSHE, RSE as well as facilitating a space for students to wrestle with big ideas through Philosophy for Children. Underpinning the whole curriculum is our Oracy toolkit which supports students in being able to communicate their ideas. Coaches not only facilitate the learning in this space but are also the key trusted adult for the students in their coaching groups.
