SEN Pupil Achievement Coach/ Teaching Assistant 

Salary:  Scale 3, Point 5 - £23,427 (FTE)/£20,093 pro-rated for 41 weeks

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of something special and to make a real difference.  We give our Pupil Achievement Coaches the chance to be creative, collaborative and develop skills, passions and attributes in all children.   We are building a great team of people who are innovative, practical and determined to deliver for our children.


We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience of supporting students with special needs in secondary school.


We want all our Pupil Achievement Coaches to develop an expertise.  There are three main pathways:


  • Being a champion of literacy and numeracy helping children achieve in these fundamental skills.

  • Being a specialist in supporting individuals and groups of children who have specific learning needs.  

  • Monitoring children who sometimes struggle with their behaviour.


In each area you will go the extra mile for pupils who face particular learning challenges to ensure they make outstanding progress.


As we are an all-through school you will be part of a team across the whole 4 to 18 school.  Although you will be based in primary or secondary there will be many opportunities to share practice.  And of course the whole team will be united in the view that all children can succeed.
